  • Overview

    The DPC works within the EMEA Production team, and is responsible for assisting with the production of eBooks

    and the project management and data tracking of other digital product across HE, Vocational, ELT and Custom

    publishing within EMEA.

    Responsible for a range of Digital Production duties including: project-manage eBook production for front list,

    Enterprise and Custom requests; produce and manage EMEA companion websites; support the project

    management of other digital learning solutions; metadata maintenance and rights requests including for reseller


    Works closely with DPC and Digital Production Manager in Production. Works closely with key stakeholders

    including Editorial, Marketing, Sales and Customer Services. Daily liaison with digital product, systems and

    technology teams in the US, to ensure EMEA business and product requirements are met.


    Essential Responsibilities


    * Data management and digital product tracking using business systems. Ensure data is accurate and

    reporting transparent to other functions.

    * Creation of ISBNs for digital products and maintain metadata in core systems

    * Source files and arranges digital conversion for a range of platforms

    * Organize rights checks for digital product requests and arrange item redactions as necessary; advise on

    suitability of content for eBook conversion based on agreed criteria

    * Apply solid decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure successful, efficient,

    and economical results on each project

    * Investigate customer queries from Customer Services and Marketing. Discuss with DPM and source


    * Create companion websites using standard templates, manage delivery schedule and ensure files meet

    editorial and formatting standards

    * Assist DPM with Aplia content as required, which may include product setup and Quality Assurance

    testing; assist with reviews and QA of IWBs and website uploads for ELT 


    Other Accountabilities

    * Contribute to regular Production reports and project briefs, and other Production activity, as required




    * Educated to University level (Degree) or equivalent

    * Excellent project management and organizational skills; the ability to successfully manage and

    correctly prioritize multiple projects and tasks, to deliver within budget and schedule; 

    * Excellent computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet skills; knowledge of Adobe Acrobat

    PDF editing and internet fluency, with confidence to use business systems

    * Effective problem-solving skills; the ability to identify, analyze and resolve issues efficiently and

    understand the implications and expected outcomes

    * Ability to collaborate and work effectively and efficiently in a team environment and across functions, at

    all levels

    * Ability to work independently with great attention to detail and a solid understanding of how and when to escalate issues appropriately * Good verbal and written communication skills



    * Experience in print/digital production within a publishing environment

    * Data management experience 

    * Knowledge of publishing processes and interest in digital products for education

    * Some knowledge of Rights and Permissions in publishing.
