  • Overview



    This team publishes ELT materials for National Geographic Learning Global and Local territories. The role focuses primarily on custom projects and regional adaptations for the EMEA region.


    The ELT Administrator will carry out a range of administrative tasks to support the Custom, Adaptations and Regional Publishing team.



    Key Accountabilities:




    • Data entry in IPS (Integrated Publishing System) in collaboration with the editorial team.
    • Manage contracts filing system.
    • Writing up Statements of Work and Author Agreements, Letters of Agreements, scanning the documents and uploading to T drive
    • Set up new editorial vendors, coding and processing of all editorial invoices.
    • Arrange for gratis copies and advances of books to be sent out to authors, editors and clients.
    • Be the first point of contact for author and editors for queries on invoices
    • Photocopying and scanning as required
    • Organise, catalogue and maintain the department’s central library and stationery cupboard.
    • Booking meeting rooms, lunches and functions as required.
    • General administration and support for the wider ELT team.

    • ELT Custom, Adaptations and Regional Publishing Editorial team, Global front list team, Accounts and Customer Service staff

    • US Operations Team


    This includes roles and departments the role will communicate and liaise with on work issues.

    This includes any third parties this role may be required to liaise with as part of the role including suppliers.  


    Essential Role Requirements:


    What you need as a minimum to carry out the role successfully.



    • Experience working within a busy and varied Administrative role.
    • Experience of working with Microsoft Office programmes.




    • Flexible approach to tasks and a ‘can do’ attitude.
    • Good PC skills with working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Strong numeracy skills.


      • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Awareness of data protection.
    • Keen attention to detail and follow-through.


    • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work calmly in a sometimes highly pressurised environment.
    • Team player suited to a team-orientated and collaborative environment, where knowledge is shared actively.
    • Discreet and respects confidentiality.



    Desirable Role Requirements:


    What skills experience or qualifications will add value to the job of be an advantage in the selection process.




    • Previous experience of working in an administrative role would be advantageous.





    • Educated to A level or equivalent
