    Job Title:                    In House Teacher Trainer


    Department:              ELT


    Reports To:               Head of Strategic Marketing


    Responsible For:      Teacher Training – All EMEA but specifically Eastern Mediterranean and Gulf regions.



    Main Job Purpose:

    • This role requires an experienced ELT professional with brilliant presentation and communication skills to create and deliver bespoke teacher trainer services for the EMEA region. The role would require regular travel to the Middle East, North Africa Central and Eastern Europe.
    • To support local sales teams with meetings and presentations to key customers within the region


    TEACHER TRAINING Principal Responsibilities:


    Developing and delivering:

    • post-adoption teacher training sessions to key customers on how to implement and make the most out of the materials in the classroom including features and unit walk-through. These should be developed on a generic basis for others to implement and also on a bespoke basis as and when the need arises.
    • pre-adoption teacher training that covers an aspect of teacher development using one or several of our titles as the basis for examples and methodological direction. These should be developed on a generic basis for others to implement and also on a bespoke basis as and when the need arises.
    • Sales team training on delivering teacher training sessions and discussing methodological aspects of the titles.
    • Working closely with the current In House Teacher Trainer to develop, share and deliver top quality resources
    • Working with the Product Marketing Manager to develop academically and methodologically rigorous sales and product training in a timely and accessible manner.
    • Working with the current In House Teacher Trainer, the ELT Events Marketing Executive and Sales managers to organise and plan teacher training trips and travel
    • Thorough knowledge of core product list so that teacher training can be delivered around these products
    • Clear reporting on how the events went to the Strategic Marketing Manager
    • Regular communication with the markets
    • Design and delivery of a range of bespoke teacher training requirements to key customers in the region
    • Gathering and collation of feedback after the events to monitor successes and areas for improvement.
    • Supporting the sales teams in the creation of training and product training materials.
    • To accompany sales reps to promote the relevant product with the purposes of winning new or retaining existing adoptions and maintaining business growth.
    • To prepare for, and participate fully at all sales meetings.
    • To attend ELT conferences in the assigned sales territory.
    • To have a thorough working knowledge of all bestselling titles (back list and front list), to be able to identify where the opportunities exist for these books, and to take advantage of all these opportunities.


    Candidate Specification

    • Educated to degree level or equivalent
    • Understanding of sales process and strong business acumen
    • Dynamic approach to presenting with a diplomatic and persuasive qualities
    • Willingness to base in the target territory and travel extensively
    • Organised and good time management and planning skills
    • A self-starter and self-motivated individual
    • Strong team player
    • Strong Microsoft office skills and familiarity with using databases
    • Clean driver’s license
    • Good written and verbal communication skills in English are a must
    • Experience in the publishing industry and the Greek Middle East 2 and North Africa markets may be an advantage.
    • Greek and Arabic language skills may be an advantage
    • DELTA qualification or equivalent would be advantageous
